High River 4C Coalition - Caring Citizens Comitted to Healthy Communities

Below is a list of all of the accomplishments that 4C has brought to, lobbied for or worked hard to enhance in our community of High River.

• The High River and District Parent Link Centre-opened in March, 2005
• Healthy Community Resolution passed by Town council stating, “High River support the Healthy Community approach and adopts and promotes within its area of competency, public policies and strategies that enhance the overall health status of its population.”  September 24, 2007
• Happy Trails map including playgrounds and tot lots
• High River and area information kiosk at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Centre – Spring, 2008
• Community building workshops, 2002, 2004 and coming soon in 2008…
• Child Chat – information sessions for new parents
• Teen Wellness Clinic – Spring, 2008
• Food Security Action Group
• Heart Healthy High River Action Group partnering with Stroke prevention and the CHR
